Henry Lee "P-Jack" Dowdy

Henry Lee "P-Jack" Dowdy, 72, of Potts Camp, died May 12, 2021, at Baptist Memorial HospitalUnion County in New Albany. He was a member of Finley Grove MB Church and served on the church deacon board. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and a retired truck driver with Ready Mix in Olive Branch.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on May 19 at Finley Grove MB Church Cemetery. Rev. James Green officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Amelia Oliver Dowdy of Holly Springs; two daughters, Lisa Harrington, Melissa Harrington, both of Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughter, Visa Oliver of Potts Camp; four stepsons, Timothy Oliver, Bryant Oliver, Patrick Pegues, all of Holly Springs, Gary Pegues of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Alma Bowens, Katie Hamer, both of Holly Springs; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marcellus Dowdy.
