Henry “Pop” Clardy
Henry “Pop” Clardy, 94, of Slayden, died March 12, 2017, at his home. The widower of Maude V. Henderson Clardy, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a retired factory worker at Fisher Steel in Cordova, Tenn.
Visitation will be March 17 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and March 18, from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 18 at Sims Chapel MB Church in Michigan City, where he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Randal Woodward will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a daughter, Pinkie Isom of Slayden, a sister, Arle Applewhite of Memphis, Tenn., a brother, Chester Clardy of Grand Junction, Tenn.; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
