Helen Malone Hardaway

Helen Malone Hardaway, 87, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Byhalia, died June 27, 2023, at her home. She was a retired bus driver for Laidlaw Transportation.

Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. on July 1 at Newell Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Victoria. Rev. William Bullock officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her daughters, Patricia Nesby, Barbara Bullock, Daphne Hardaway, all of Memphis, Wanda Hardaway Payne of Holly Springs; sons, Jeffery Hardaway of Huntsville, Ala., Courtney Holmes of Memphis; sisters, Ozell White of Memphis, Linnie Blair of Byhalia; brothers, Curtis "Sonny" Blair, Frank Blair, both of Byhalia; 19 grandchildren and several great and great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Terese Hardaway; siblings, Dorothy Pegues, Lula Mae Hardaway, Minnie Wright and Lucius Blair.
