Helen D. Hearns Newsom

Helen D. Hearns Newsom, 62, of Byhalia, died November 12, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria and was a bus driver for Northeast Mississippi Community Services.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Nov. 19 from 4-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 20 at Newell Chapel Memorial Garden in Victoria. Pastor Curtis Nelson will officiate.

She leaves her husband, William Earl Newsom; daughter, Melissa Hearns of Olive Branch; two sons, Jordan Hearn of Byhalia, Dewayne Tunstall of Victoria; mother, Jessie Maxine Mayse Hearn of Victoria; three sisters, Delia Reid of Victoria, Pamela Rayford of Byhalia, Linda Hunt of Corinth; three brothers, Elton Hearn of Dyersburg, Tenn., Bennie Hearn Jr., Wallace Hearn, both of Detroit, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Tunstall.
