Hazel Lee Rutherford, 61, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Ashland, died Dec. 8, 2020, at Memorial Herman Texas Medical Center. She was a member of Zion CME Church in Ashland and a nurse with Houston Independent Schools.
Graveside services were held at 12 noon on Dec. 20 at Mt. Zion CME Church Cemetery. Minister Lonnie Spencer officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves two sons, Bryant Mabry, Byron Mabry, both of Houston; four brothers, Stacy Alexander of Grand Junction, Tenn., Tracy Alexander of Holly Springs, Jason Rutherford, Brent Rutherford, both of Texarkana, Ark.; four sisters, Winifred Reaves, Diane Rutherford, Carolyn Cochran, all of Ashland, and Demetrius Rutherford of Texarkana.
