Upon discharge from his military service, Harmon began his 38 year career in law enforcement, first as a Marshall County deputy sheriff and then as a policeman for the Holly Springs Police Department, where he retired as Captain in 1994.

In addition to his law enforcement career, he spent many years raising cattle, horses, and various other farm animals. One of his favorite things to do was taking friends and family on long wagon trail rides aboard his wagon pulled by a team of mules.

Mr. Mannon will be laid to rest in a private family cemetery. There will be no graveside service.
