Grant "Jimmy" Washington Isom

Grant "Jimmy" Washington Isom, 77, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died June 16, 2025, at his home. He was a member of Hopewell No. 2 MB Church and attended Hudsonville CME Church. He was a mechanic at Southaven Auto.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 27 from 2-5:30 p.m. and on June 28 at Hudsonville CME Church from 2-2:55 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. Elder Bobby Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Isola Dortch Isom; daughters, Debra Isom of Memphis, Sandra Ayers of Holly Springs; sons, Derrell Isom, Gregory T. Isom, both of Memphis; sisters, Shirley Thompson (James), Shirley Washington Grigsby, both of Holly Springs; Margaret Griffin (James) of Lamar; brothers, Albert Washington, Preston Isom, both of Memphis, Tracey Isom of Chicago, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Washington and Dallas Washington.
