Gloria Jean Jones

Gloria Jean Jones, 58, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Oct. 6, 2019. She attended Sand Flat High School and was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Slayden. She worked at Carrier Corporation for 23 years.

Services were held at 12 noon on Oct. 12 at Awakening Church in Holly Springs. Pastor Harvey Garrison officiated. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Robert Lee Jones Jr.; two daughters, Tasha Robinson (Lee) of Holly Springs, Sherry Hughes of Memphis; three sons, Eric Turner, Tarus Turner and Luther Walton Jr., all of Memphis; four sisters, Margaret Turner, Dorothy Mae Turner, Corrine Turner, all of Holly Springs, Ardella Turner of Tupelo; two brothers, John Wesley Turner (Tamera) of Holly Springs, James Earl Gatewood of Nashville, Tenn.; three goddaughters, Kivia Luellen of Memphis, Angela Finnie of Holly Springs, Lisa Griggs Ambrose of Slayden; one godson, Dennis Brittenum of Slayden; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
