Gloria Isom Boateng

Gloria Isom Boateng, 54, of Fayette, Ga., formerly of Holly Springs, died September 21, 2017, at her home. A 1980 graduate of Sand Flat High School, she received a bachelor of science in biology from Rust College. She received her certification in cytotechnology and worked at LabCorp in Tucker, Ga. and Burlington, N.C., for 20-plus years. She was a member of New Life Presbyterian Church in College Park, Ga.

Services were held at 12 noon on Sept. 30 at Isom Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Michael Adams, pastor, officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Edward Boateng; two children, Edrick Boateng, Christina Boateng; her mother, Delcine Isom; three brothers, Charles Isom, Leon Isom, Archie Isom (Valerie), all of Atlanta, Ga. ; and five sisters, Margaret Wilson, Joyce Isom, Peggie Isom of Atlanta, Brenda Paige (Wiley) and Priscilla Isom, both of Holly Springs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyce Isom Jr.
