Georgia Mae Matthews Bagley

Georgia Mae Matthews Bagley, 89, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 7, 2018, at Alliance HealthCare System. The widow of Eddie Lee Bagley, she retired in 1984 as a school teacher for Sand Flat School. She was a member of Beverly Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, where she was a church usher and stewardess. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation was Nov. 14 from 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home and will be at the church on Nov. 15 from 10-10:55 a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 15 at Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. Burial will be in Beverly Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Rogers and Rev. William S. Banks will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Gregory L. Bagley of Holly Springs; a sister, Juanita Brooks of Tupelo; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings Earlene Naylor, Harvey Matthews Jr., Floyd Matthews Sr., Clyde Matthews, Elton Matthews and Douglas Matthews Sr.
