George Edward Holloway

George Edward “Puddin” Holloway, 63, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 18, 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Strawberry MB Church.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 23 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Minister Lee Fant Walker Jr. officiated.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Lizzie Holloway of Holly Springs; two daughters, Jeanette Coleman (Robert) of Aurora, Ill., Tanesha Kirkwood of Holly Springs; three sons, Willie Kirkwood (Esmeralda),  Seddrick Kirkwood of Springfield, Ill., George Kirkwood (Shamantha) of Holly Springs; sisters, Mary Lee Lawrence, Mae Ella Lawrence, both of Holly Springs; brothers,  Oscar Holloway, Darnell Holloway (Evelyn), both of Holly Springs, Johnny Holloway (Lavern) of Olive Branch; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Magnolia Dowdy, Nettie Wiseman, Nannie Jones, and two brothers, Louis Holloway, and M.C. Brown.
