George Edward Anderson

George Edward Anderson, 80, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died May 14, 2019, in Chicago. He was a member of Carter Temple CME Church in Chicago, and a former member of Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. He was a retired Cook County deputy sheriff.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on May 21 at Carter Temple CME Church. Rev. Dr. Joseph B. Gordon officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Andrea Bell; one daughter, Sonja Anderson of Chicago; two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Anderson of Memphis, Tenn., Darren Anderson of Chicago; one sister, Madora Anderson of Holly Springs; one brother, Eugene Anderson of Holly Springs; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Anderson; a sister, Iristine Anderson; and two brothers, Henry Anderson and Edward Anderson.
