George Brown Jr.

George Brown Jr., 77, of Holly Springs, died April 10, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on April 18 at Mt. Zion CME Church Cemetery in Benton County. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves three sons, Terry Lawrence, Jeremy Schlender-Brown, both of Holly Springs, Frankie Higgins (Erica) of Aurora, Ill.; four daughters, Tracy Pryor of Aurora, Laketsha Jeffries of Olive Branch, Stephanie Malone (DeMarcus), Kianna Schlender-Brown, both of Holly Springs; one goddaughter, Jannie Bogard of Holly Springs; three brothers, Jessie Brown of Aurora, Orlando Brown (Lemme), Herman Brown, both of Holly Springs; one sister, Mosella Phillips Griffin of Holly Springs; a special friend, Nita Schlender-Brown of Holly Springs; 31 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Holloway; three sisters, Nina Fate Bryson, Lucy Mae Hampton, Dorthey Barns; three brothers, Roy Brown, Eddie B. Brown, and Clyde Lewis.
