George “Chic” Gray

George “Chic” Gray, 57, of Potts Camp, died Sept. 15, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. He was a former farmer for Whaley Farms.

Visitation will be held Sept. 21, 2-8:30 p.m., with family from 7:30-8:30, at the funeral home, and on Sept. 22 at the church from 2-2:55 p.m.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Royston Chapel CME Church in Potts Camp. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Gwendolyn Nelson will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his mother, Fannie Ann Honor of Potts Camp; four sisters, Annie Thomas of Potts Camp, Belinda Prather of Myrtle, Catherine Akins of Sterling, Va., Helen Honor of Buffalo, N.Y.; eight brothers, Sammie Joe Honor of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Ira Honor of Indianapolis, Ind., Charles Honor, Johnny Honor, both of Buffalo, N.Y., Willie A. Gray, Melvin Gray, both of Potts Camp, Bobby Gray of Holly Springs and Rickey Scott of Aurora, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father, King G. Honor, and a sister, Theresa Gray.
