Geneva McGauyhey Turner

Geneva McGauyhey Turner, 87, of Holly Springs, died July 17, 2019, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. The widow of W.C. Turner, she was a member of Hudsonville CME Church and a homemaker.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on July 26 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries in Holly Springs. Rev. Alberoderick Neely officiated. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two sons, James Earl Gatewood of Nashville, Tenn., John West Turner of Holly Springs; five daughters, Margaret Turner, Dorothy Turner, Corrine Turner, all of Holly Springs, Gloria Jones of Memphis, Ardella Turner of Tupelo; six sisters, Lurline Tate of Rossville, Tenn., Ruthie Lee McGauyhey Hampton of Holly Springs, Bertha Roberts of Memphis, Annie Lensey of Lamar, Nancy Luellen of Byhalia, Irene McGauyhey of Memphis; five brothers, John Lee McGauyhey of Holly Springs, Sam McGauyhey of Slayden, Daniel Rogers, Curtis McGauyhey, John Henry McGauyhey Jr., all of Memphis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
