Gene Holbrook

Gene Holbrook, 64, of Holly Springs, died June 25, 2017, in Holly Springs. He was a contractor, electrician and plumber. He served with the Holly Springs Fire Department for 43 years as a part-time firefighter.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on June 28 at First Baptist Church of Holly Springs, where he was a member. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Carolyn Holbrook; a son, Chris Fesmire (Stanley) of Southaven; a daughter Cheri Simmons of Holly Springs; his mother, Annis Holbrook of Holly Springs; a brother, Al “Squirrel” Holbrook of Holly Springs; two sisters, Ramona Warren (Danny) of Nettleton, Katie Holbrook of Holly Springs; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Holbrook.
