Garry Louis "Hemp" Tipler Sr., 69, of Ashland, died August 22, 2025. He was a member of Harris Chapel MB Church.
Services were held at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel on Sept. 6 at 11 a.m.
He leaves a son, Garry Tipler Jr. of Oakland, Calif.; sisters, Rosie Hunt, Michelle Matthews (John), both of Ashland, VeShon Tucker of Southaven; brothers, James Tipler, Cortez Tipler, both of Oakland, William Tipler of Memphis, Tenn., Gaither Tipler (Margaret), Dexter Tipler, both of Ashland, Alvin Tipler of Trimeal, Germany; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Tipler; parents, Albert and Nelma Tipler; siblings, Alberta Foster, Althea Coleman, Carolyn Porter, Waurene Tipler, Steven Tipler, Michael Tipler and Felicia Tipler.
