Frank Thompson

Frank Thompson, 87, of Hickory Flat, died Aug. 2, 2017, at Union County Health and Rehab in New Albany. The widower of Mary Kirk Thompson, they were married for 58 years until her death n 2009. He was a retired farmer, a Mason and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves three sons, Steve Thompson (Valerie), Ronny Thompson (Pam), all of Hickory Flat, Tim Thompson (Becky) of New Albany; a brother, David Thompson; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Mack Thompson Jr., Ella Pearl Gray and Maxine Weatherly.
