Flossie Faye Askew Sparks Turpen

Flossie Faye Askew Sparks Turpen, 91, of Potts Camp, died January 26, 2022, at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. She was born on Dec. 15, 1930, to Alma Armstrong. She was the owner/operator of Sparks Grocery in Potts Camp.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 31 at Potts Camp Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Tim Sparks (Tamela) of Abbeville; daughters, Pam Sparks, Jean Marie Sparks, both of Potts Camp, stepdaughter, Sharon Delaney of Millington, Tenn.; four stepgrandchildren, several stepgreat-grandchildren, and several stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husbands, James "Jim" Davidson Sparks and George Turpen; sons, Robbie Lee Sparks and Jerry Wayne Sparks.
