Felton Turnage

Felton Turnage, 54, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Holly Springs, died June 8, 2017, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he taught in the Dallas Independent School District at W.W. Samuel High School.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on June 17 at Mt. Teamer CME Church in Holly Springs, where he was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Henry Damon officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his mother, Versie Smith Turnage of Holly Springs; three sisters, Brenda Beard of Chicago, Ill., Articue Martin (Jerry) of Potts Camp, Costella Mason of Holly Springs; and four brothers, Raymond M. Turnage Jr. (Carolyn), Clark C. Turnage, both of Holly Springs, Freeman Turnage of Memphis, Tenn., Cravin Turnage (Irene) of Red Banks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Turnage Sr. and a brother, Leotha Wicks.
