Eugene Griggs

Eugene Griggs, 73, of Holly Springs, died June 23, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. The widower of Dorothy Ann Franklin Griggs, he was a member of Williams Temple Church of God in Christ in Moscow, Tenn., and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a farmer.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on July 1 at Williams Temple Church of God In Christ Cemetery. Superintendent Robert Lee Williams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves four children, Timothy Griggs and Eugene Griggs Jr., both of Holly Springs, Aretha Griggs of Chulahoma, Lisa Griggs Ambrose of Slayden; a sister, Marie Spencer of Moscow; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Leon Griggs; and a brother, George Griggs.
