Ethel Jane Byers Wooten

Ethel Jane Byers Wooten, 89, of Waterford, died Mar. 28, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Hamilton Chapel CME Church and a former housekeeper for Heritage Inn in Holly Springs.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on April 3 from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on April 4 at Hamilton Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Billy Williams will officiate.

She leaves two sons, Lawrence Wooten, Lonnie Wooten, both of Waterford; two daughters, Doris Byers, Anita Wooten Kirkwood, both of Waterford; two sisters, Eunice Adams of Indianapolis, Ind., Laura Turnage of West Point; one brother, Melvin Byers of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Wooten; and 11 siblings.
