Essie Lee Dean Dillard

Essie Lee Dean Dillard, 96, of Potts Camp, died June 4, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. She was a member of Baptist Hill MB Church in Potts Camp where she was on the mother's board and an usher. She was a retired teacher after 42 years at ICS Headstart.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 9 from 1-6 p.m. and at Baptist Hill MB Church on June 10 from 10-10:50 a.m. with graveside services at 11 a.m. in the church cemetery. Pastor Lacy Scott will officiate.

She leaves four daughters, Sherry Rayford, Linda Edwards, Brenda Collins, all of Holly Springs, Isophene Owens of Potts Camp; three sons, Ralph Dillard, James Lee Dillard Jr., Steven Dillard Sr., all of Potts Camp; 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Dillard Sr.; daughter, Annie Wilson; son, Herman Dillard; one great-grandchild; siblings, Charlie Dean, Lester Dean, Eddie Dean, and Warrean Norris.
