Esau "Bay Bay" Fant

Esau "Bay Bay" Fant, 56, of Byhalia, died February 22, 2024, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of New Fellowship Christian Church in Olive Branch where he served as a church deacon, trustee, and as sound system coordinator. He was a fork lift order picker at Highline Warren LLC.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 1 from 2-5:30 p.m. and on March 2 at New Fellowship Christian Church from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Pastor Dwight L. Saulsberry will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

He leaves his wife, Cheryl Hardaway Fant; daughters, Sheletha Fant, Sheleda Carruth, E'Leiah Fant, Carterra Fant, Elisha Fant, all of Byhalia; son, Darren Fant of Byhalia; mother, Gracie Lee Fant of Olive Branch; sisters, Gladis Greenwood of Olive Branch, Princie Fant, Renae Fant, both of Memphis, Patricia Stroter of Victoria, Thelma Hoyle of Byhalia, Pattie Tennial-Joe of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Low C. Fant of Olive Branch, Jere Jerome Fant of Memphis; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, T.C. Tennial; sister, Rosie Durham; and brother, Tony Fant.
