Erma Kimmons Jones

Erma Kimmons Jones, 73, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 29, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was a member of New Greater Life Baptist Church in Memphis, a church usher and a church mother. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 13 at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m.; and Dec. 14 at New Greater Life Baptist Church from 9-9:55 a.m. Services will be held 10 a.m. Rev. James E. Hollins will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs.

She leaves her husband, David Norwood; four daughters, Doris Pope of Conway, Ark., Sandra Kimmons, Sharon Barnes, Sanquia Singleton, all of Memphis; four sons, Walter Williams III, Perry James Williams, Samuel Jones II, La Chester Jones, all of Memphis; five sisters, Rosetta Bradley, Gloria Luellen, Abagail Kimmons and Brenda Perkins, all of Memphis, Elizabeth King of Holly Springs; two brothers, L.C. Kimmons Jr. of Memphis, Birl Kimmons of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby B. Kimmons.
