Eric Bernard Marion
Eric Bernard Marion, 77, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Waterford, died July 30, 2021, at Methodist South Hospital. He was a member of Center Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was an employee at BFI and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Services were held at 12 p.m. on Aug. 12 at Center Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis. Rev. Anthony Watkins officiated. Burial was in the Veteran's Cemetery in Memphis. M.J. Edwards Whitehaven Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Shirley Gentry-Marion; two daughters, Robin Perkins of Memphis, Sananquanita Thomas (Rayford) of Chicago, Ill.; one son, Dylon D'Eric Chambers; nine sisters, Linda A. Delaney (Walter) of Marion, Ark., Anne Brown, Bonnie Jean Tappin-More, both of Memphis, Delphine Scott (Clarence), Wattine Kinard (Pretntise), both of Aurora, Ill., Linda Jean Robinson (William) of Montgomery, Ill., Evone Britt (Herb) of Champaign, Ill., Velda Johnson (Mulester), Ella Jones (Dennis), both of Holly Springs; five brothers, Thomas Earl Thompson (Bobbie), Percyell Thompson (Brinda), Randy Thompson, Lambert Thompson (Josephine), all of Waterford, Lincoln Martin (Queen) of Holly Springs; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Harden; grandson, Freddie; granddaughter, Destiny; and great-grandson, Ma'lani.
