Eliza Mae Hughes Wells

Eliza Mae Hughes Wells, 92, of Bolivar, Tenn., formerly of Red Banks, died June 6, 2024, at her home. She was a member of Tate Road Church of Christ in Bolivar and she was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 12 from 3-5:30 p.m. and on June 13 from 10-10:55 a.m. with services on 11 a.m. Brother George Dotson will officiate. Burial will be in Church of Christ Cemetery in Red Banks.

She leaves her daughters, Ellen Wells Futrell, Mary Bufford, both of Bolivar; sons, Carl Stidum of Holly Springs, Eddie Stidum of Mt. Pleasant, Walter Stidum of Batesville, Henry Stidum of Hickory Flat, Leland Wells of Houston, Texas; sister, Arlene Moore of Memphis; brother, Herman Hughes of Memphis, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lell Wells; children Otto Hughes, Willie Lee Hughes, Grady Stidum Jr., LeVon Stidum; and brother, Elias Hughes Jr.
