Elder Maxine Isom Evans

Elder Maxine Isom Evans, 71, of Whiteville, NC, died June 8, 2026. She was a member of Kim brough Chapel Church, and later was ordained an elder where she served at Victory In Jesus Min istries. Services were held at Serenity Funeral Home on June 20 at 10 a.m. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery.
She leaves her sons, Darryl Isom (Tomeka), Gary Palmer (Dianne), Nicolas Washington; brothers, Obrey (Willie), R.L. Isom Sr. (Joyce); sisters, Ardell Campbell, Loretha McCracken, Loretta Exum, Fannie Isom, Diann Ailsworth (Steve), Reola Isom, Jurlann Parks; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Vance, Chezzie and Elton Jr.
