Elder Arthur L. Brown

Elder Arthur L. Brown, 79, of Byhalia, formerly of Aurora, Ill., died November 25, 2023, at The Springs of Avalon Nursing Home in West Memphis, Ark. He was a member of Christ Temple COGIC and pastor of Word of Life Pentecostal Church in Red Banks. He was retired from Bell Labs and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 8 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. and on Dec. 9 at Christ Temple Church of God in Christ from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Supt. Albert Pass will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

He leaves his wife, Martha G. Brown; daughters, Rochelle Totten-Vaughn of Aurora, Annette Totten of Olive Branch; sons, Phillip Totten of Kansas City, Mo., Sharkir Brown of Byhalia; sisters, Ella Glover, Celestine Belfoure, Johnnie Mae Jones-Jeffries, all of Holly Springs; brothers, Lacey Brown, Darren Jones, both of Holly Springs; five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James "JuneCake" Brown Jr., and Johnnie C. "HoBo" Brown.
