Eland Reaves

Eland Reaves, 64, of Ashland, died May 2, 2024, at Ashland Health and Rehabilitation. He was a member of Everett Chapel MB Church in Michigan City, a deputy sheriff with Benton County Sheriff's Department and a security guard.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel on May 10 from 3-6 p.m. Services will be held at Samuel Chapel MB Church in Ashland on May 11 at 2 p.m.

He leaves his wife, Rosie King Reaves; sons, Eric Reaves of Buford, Ga., Leland Reaves of Holly Springs; daughters, Tiffiney Reaves Barksdale (Larry), Sadie Reaves, both of Holly Springs; brothers, Johnny Brown Jr. of Michigan City, Rinnix Brown of Grand Junction, Tenn., Kenivel Brown of Lamar; sisters, Van Shaw (Dwight), Monique Murden (Ronell), Karbicca Brown, all of Michigan City, Karachia McKinnie (Willie) of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Brown Sr., Mary Young Reaves; brothers, Tracy Brown, Wayne Brown; and sister, Doris Barksdale.
