Effie Lee Jenkins Walton

Effie Lee Jenkins Walton, 72, of Southaven, formerly of Holly Springs, died Oct. 29, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was a domestic worker for the Walter Utley family.

Visitation will be Nov. 2 from 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home and on Nov. 3 from 10-10:55 a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 3 at St. Paul CME Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two sons, Noah Johnson (Latonia) of Byhalia, Kenyon Ramone Walton of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Karen Walton of Holly Springs, Alicia A. Walton Howell (Michael) of Southaven; a sister, Mary Helen Pegues of Holly Springs; 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five children, Joseph Johnson, Charles Franklin Walton, Cynthia Michelle Walton, Mamie T. Perkins, Deborah Walton Jeffries; and eight siblings, Margaret Jenkins, Moethel Glover, Cynthia Jenkins, Bobby Hubbard, Etta Hunt, Essie Hankins, Beulah Jenkins, Lynwood Lee Stinson.
