Edward Harold Rainey

Edward Harold Rainey, 87, of Hickory Flat, died February 4, 2025, in Ripley. He was an agent with the Marshall County Farm Bureau Insurance for 37 years and a veteran of the US Army and Air Force. He was a member of Potts Camp First Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the deacons.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 8 in the chapel of Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial was in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory Flat.

He leaves a son, Eddie Fray Rainey (Traci) of Booneville; daughters, Lesia Rainey Carnell (Chris), Cheryl Rainey Cox (Bobby), both of Hickory Flat; brothers, Wilford Rainey of Walls, David Rainey of Walnut, Jerry Rainey of Ripley; sisters, Betty Rose, Linda Holley, both of Ripley; 10 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Bingham Rainey; and sister, Billie Tapp.
