Edgar Lee McKinney

Edgar Lee McKinney, 65, of Holly Springs, died October 2, 2021, at Springfield Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. He was a member of Kimbrough Chapel MB Church in Hudsonville and was in construction, plumbing and a mechanic.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 15 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Smith officiated. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs.

He leaves seven daughters, Shelita Smith (Deadrick) of New Albany, Sherlonda Tables (Erroll) of Decatur, Ill., Shaquita Tables (Charles) of New Albany, Sabrekia Robinson (Shecoby) of Holly Springs, Chelsey Gamble (Gary), Ashley Gunning, Tylea McKinney, all of Champaign, Ill.; one son, Albert McKinney of Champaign; one stepdaughter, Sharonie Malone of Holly Springs; five sisters, Irene Mayfield, Ethel Raimey, Deloise White, Ida Payne (Ricky), Lisa McKinney, all of Holly Springs; one brother, Michael Perkins (Lora) of Holly Springs; fiance, Teressa Johnson of Champaign; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey Gunning McKinney; two grandchildren, Maliyah Elliott, Davian McKinney Sr.; four siblings, James McKinney, Robert McKinney, Deborah McKinney and Elizabeth Perkins.
