Eddie Benjamin Beard

Eddie Benjamin Beard, 72, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Lamar, died October 10, 2021, at his home. He was a member of New West Church of Christ in Southaven and was a retired construction worker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 22 from 5:30-7 p.m. and at New West Church of Christ on Oct. 23 from 10-10:55 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Tradanius Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood MB Church Cemetery in Lamar.

He leaves his wife, Annie Jackson Beard; daughter, Soprina Beard of Memphis; son, Tradanius Beard of Cordova, Tenn.; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Emma Poe, Martha Seay, Mary Yander, Mosella Williams, Bessie Talley; brothers, James Beard, Johnnie Beard and Henry Beard Jr.
