Earnest B. Jones

Earnest B. Jones, 88, of Holly Springs, died May 4, 2017, at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. The widower of Rachel Craine Jones, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge; a church deacon and usher. He was retired from Memphis Light Gas and Water in Memphis, Tenn.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 10 at Free Branch MB Church in Holly Springs, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Joe Tunstall officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves four sons, Willie F. Jones of Holly Springs, Leonard Jones of Oliver Hurst, Calif., Sylvester Jones, Lindsey Jones, both of Holly Springs; a sister, Michelle Turner of Memphis; two brothers, Ervin Jones, Lorenzo Jones, both of Memphis; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
