Earlean Scruggs Curry

Earlean Scruggs Curry, 75, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Holly Springs, died January 29, 2022. She was a member of New Greater Zion Hill MB Church in Detroit. She worked at Federation of Girls Homes as a social worker and as a child care specialist.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Yarbrough Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Holly Springs.

She leaves five sisters, Catherine Todd, Queen Dean (Hubert), Delorise McAully (Stanley), Versia Jones, all of Holly Springs, Vera Harmon of Memphis, Tenn.; god-brother, William Robinson (Patty) of Memphis; stepchildren, Carl Curry, Michael Curry of Detroit, and Keith Curry of Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Curry; two sisters, Maxine Scruggs Smith and Versia V. Scruggs.
