Dr. Lyle Dumond Wescott Jr., 84, of Holly Springs, died January 26, 2022, at DeSoto Healthcare in Southaven. He was a teacher at Christian Brothers University and the University of Mississippi, and was a United States Naval Reserve veteran.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his sons, Doug Wescott (Melissa) of Covington, Tenn., Paul Wescott of Hollywood, Fla.; sister, Elaine Marshall of Sanford, Fla.; longtime companion, Sherry Chasen; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
