Doyle Richard Reed

Doyle Richard Reed, 87 years old, left this life to be with his Lord and Savior on April 1, 2022.

He was born April 19, 1934, in New Boston, Tex., to Henry and Elsie Reed. Doyle was a Retired Captain for the United States Marine Corps and also Retired Director of Operations and Security, Memphis International Airport. He was a member of Victoria United Methodist Church, Victoria, MS.

A resident of Victoria, MS, he is survived by his wife, Nellie Ruth Reed; son, Leland Reed (Stacey); one granddaughter, Ali Crawford (Hunter); one grandson, Jeremy Gainey (Haley); and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Becky Reed Castaldy and Jennie Hackett Lee.

Preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Patsy Reed Shelby, Lena Reed Duren, Barbara Reed Maquand, Bonnie Reed, Jerry Lynn Reed Simpson, Mary Jo Reed Hill and William Eugene Reed; parents, Henry Evertt Reed, Elsie Odell Reed; and stepmother, Sue Leeper Reed.

The family received family and friends for a graveside service on April 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Wimberly Cemetery, Ringgold, LA.
