Douglas Smith

Douglas Smith, 74, of Waterford, died June 12, 2019, at his home. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Potts Camp, retired from Bell South, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on June 14 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Waterford Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Betty Keel Smith; one son, D. Edward Smith (Lisa) of Vero Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Cana Minor (Danny) of Waterford, Tresha Ivey (Ken) of Madison; one brother, John A. Smith of Holly Springs; five sisters, Wylena Day of Pensacola, Fla., Carol Hurdle of Holly Springs, Vickie Latimer of Tyro, Phyliss Jenkins of Oxford, Kim Phillips of Hernando; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Smith; and one great-grandchild, Dawson Blackwell.
