Dorothy Stewart Nevels

Dorothy Stewart Nevels, 78, of Holly Springs, died August 24, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto in Southaven. She was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church where she served on the mother board, in the church choir, and the outreach ministry. She was a retired educator.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on August 30 from 3-6 p.m. and on August 31 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 1:30-2:25 p.m. with services at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Alberoderick Neely will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope CME Church Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Clyde C. Nevels; daughter, Jennifer Nevels of Dallas, Texas; sons, Cedric Nevels, Clevin Nevels, Christopher Nevels, Leon Davis, all of Holly Springs; sisters, Mildred Guy of Byhalia, Lenora Currie, Dianne Brown, both of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Stanley Stewart of Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Antonio Nevels, De Marcus Nevels; siblings, Ruby Jones, Bertha Lester, Georgia DeBerry, Johnny Stewart, Robert Stewart and James Stewart.
