Dorothy Lee Williams Ayers

Dorothy Lee Williams Ayers, 92, of Lamar, died June 11, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Palestine MB Church in Michigan City and was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 18 from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on June 19 at Palestine MB Church Cemetery. Pastor James Williams will officiate.

She leaves two daughters, Georgia Jackson, Shirley Ayers, both of Lamar; three sons, William Ayers Jr. of Holly Springs, Beasley Ayers, Brian Ayers, both of Memphis, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Ayers; daughter, Sarah Louise Ayers; son, Larry Darnell Ayers; sisters, Gladys Reliford, Lucy Jane Williams, Sarah Booth, Ethel Benson; brothers, Roosevelt Harris, Kenneth Williams, Senneth Williams, Ralph Williams, Joe Howard and Percy Williams.
