Dorothy Jean Jenkins Donnell

Dorothy Jean Jenkins Donnell, 64, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 28, 2016, at her home. She was a member of Hopewell No. 2 MB Church, where she was a church missionary and on the mother board. She was a member of the Heroines of Jericho and Sigma Gamma Service Sorority. A graduate of Rust College, she was retired director of housing at Rust College.

Services were held at 12 noon on Jan. 1 at Doxey Auditorium at Rust College with burial in Hopewell No. 2 MB Church Cemetery. Rev. Archie Bowens officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Jimmy D. Donnell; two sons, Mario Donnell of Corinth, Jimmy D. Donnell III of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Carolyn Donnell of Holly Springs, Kiaera Donnell of Madison, Ala.; two stepsons, Kenneth Wilson, Dewain Donnell, both of Holly Springs; two sisters, Ella Mae Jeans of Holly Springs, Hattie Washington of Memphis, Tenn.; a granddaughter and five step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Lewis Strong.
