Dorothy Jean Beard Stinson

Dorothy Jean Beard Stinson, 82, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 19, 2021, at Methodist Healthcare in Olive Branch. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the Mothers Ministry.

Graveside services were held on Jan. 26 at Mt. Moriah MB Church Cemetery. SerenityAutry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Lee Stinson Jr.; four sons, Wayne Stinson (Jane) of Byhalia, Antione Stinson (Annie) of Grand Junction, Tenn., Wallace Stinson (Sherri) of Olive Branch, Michael Stinson (Tracy) of Southaven; six daughters, Joan Lester (Eric), Linda Moore, Tina Lester, Annette Mitchell (Oran), all of Holly Springs, Sharon Isom (Terence) of Olive Branch, Loretha Thompson (John) of Buford, Ga.; three stepchildren, Ivory Clark, Roy Clark, both of Aurora, Ill., Erma Clark of Southaven; two brothers, William Beard (Georgia), Major Beard Jr. both of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Lorine Hope of Byhalia; 31 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and nine step-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by daughters, Lennette Stinson, Dorothy Bonds; granddaughter, Telsi Isom; brothers, James Beard, Walter Beard; three sisters, Lucy Jones, Ada Harris and Ethel Walker.
