Dorothy H. Pryor

Dorothy H. Pryor, 88, died July 13, 2020. The widow of John C. “Nuke” Pryor, she was a member of New Hope MB Church where she served on the missionary, usher, and mothers’ boards.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. On July 18 at New Hope MB Church Cemetery in Laws Hill. Rev. Dr. Bessie Tables officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a daughter, Valine James (Oscar) of Holly Springs; a son, Lynell Pryor of Laws Hill; two stepchildren, Sandra Williams (David) of Oxford, Dwight Pryor (Emma) of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Alfreda Deberry, Dianh Terry, Leola Jefferson, all of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Robert Reed, James Reed and Joseph Reed of Victoria; 17 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Johnell Pryor Sr. and Robert C. Pryor.
