Dora A. Sims Jones

Dora A. Sims Jones, 89, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 21, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. The widow of L.C. Jones, she was a member of Yarbrough Chapel CME Church, where she was a stewardess and church usher. She was a retired teacher at ICS Head Start.

Visitation will be Jan. 27, from 2-7 p.m., with the family from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home, and Jan. 28 from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 28 at Chulahoma MB Church in Holly Springs with burial in Street Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. J.F. and Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves five children, Johnny Jones of Olive Branch; Ira Jones, Larry Jones, both of Memphis, Tenn. and Loyd Jones, Ricky Jones, both of Holly Springs; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
