Dora Dandridge Rayford

Dora Dandridge Rayford, 86, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 16, 2018, at Holly Springs Health and Rehab. She was the widow of Roosevelt Mathis Sr. and Harvey “Red” Rayford. She was a former member of Providence MB Church and a retired domestic worker in private homes.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 25, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Larry White Jr. will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves four children, Wayne Mathis of Cleveland, Ohio, Maxine Mathis-Mathenia of Memphis, Tenn., Charlene Mathis-Echols, Debra Mathis of Holly Springs; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three children, Roosevelt Mathis Jr., Paul Mathis and Stella Mathis.
