Derrick Lorenzo Boyd, 43, of Ashland, died January 6, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He attended St. James COGIC in Ripley.
Visitation was held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 10 from 1:30-5 p.m.
He leaves his daughters, Shumya Rucker, Tashia Boyd, both of Falkner; mother, Ruthie Bostick Hoyle of Ashland; stepfather, Solon Hoyle of Ashland; father, Oscar Lee Boyd of Ripley; sisters, Cindy Hoyle, Tonya Hampton, both of Ashland; and brother, Zion Boyd of Ripley.
