Deputy Charlie Brown, age 84, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 1.
He is remembered as a deputy and officer with the Marshall County Sheriff 's Office, and as a teacher and bus driver for the Benton County School District. He was a member of St. Mark MB Church in Holly Springs.
Services were held on Aug. 7, 10 a.m., at the Serenity Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home of Holly Springs was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a sister-in-law Diane Jackson (Ricky) of Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Brown; and his parents, Booker T. Brown and Blanch Wortham Brown.
