Demetrius LaShon "Meechie"Blackmon

Demetrius LaShon "Meechie" Blackmon, 44, of Byhalia, died October 26, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto in Southaven. He was a member of Brown Baptist Church in Southaven and was a truck driver for Faulkner Trucking.

No services will be held. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Collette S. Martin Blackmon; daughter, Demetria Shunta Blackmon of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Demetrius LaShon Blackmon Jr. of Memphis; sisters, Kimberly Sanders, Tiffany Brooks, LaToya Brooks, all of Horn Lake, Brenda Blackmon Mays of Holly Springs; brothers, Cordell Brooks of Southaven, Carlos Blackmon of Paragould, Ark.; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ivory Jean Blackmon; and father, Lawrence Brooks Sr.
