Deadrick Smith

Deadrick Smith, 81, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Waterford and Chicago, Ill., died June 16, 2025, at his home. He attended Hamilton Chapel CME Church and was a driver at Meyer Brothers Sanitation in Chicago.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 27 from 1-5:30 p.m. and on June 28 at Hamilton Chapel CME Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Craig Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Letha Smith; daughters, Valarie Smith of Southaven, Rochelle Gills of Chicago; brothers, Larry Smith of Waterford, Aubury Smith, Quinten Smith, both of Chicago; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Willene Smith, Mable Smith, Harry Smith, Everett Smith, Gene Louis Smith and Derrick Smith.
